In December 1998, Malaysia has became home to Southeast Asia’s largest museum of Islamic art. 

The Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia houses more than ten thousand artefacts, as well as an exceptional library of Islamic art books. The aim is to create a collection that is truly representative of the Islamic world. Instead of concentrating on works from the heartlands of Persia and the Middle East, IAMM also puts the emphasis on Asia. China and Southeast Asia are especially well represented.

This museum has received many awards regarding the attractions and the choices of many big name organizations.

Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia opens daily from 10am – 6pm including Malaysian Public Holidays except for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Visitors always spend their time here for about two to three hours. All ages are welcome to this museum to get the beneficial trip especially about the history of Islam.
